Quality & Standards Guide

At House of Morganite, transparency is at the heart of our promise. This comprehensive guide helps you understand our grading system, quality standards, treatment disclosure, calibrated-size policies, and finishing excellence. Everything you read here applies to every gemstone listed on HouseofMorganite.com.

1. Color Shade Descriptor

Morganite is celebrated for its delicate spectrum of pinks and peach-pinks. We classify each stone's color based on tone, saturation, and rarity. This ensures you understand exactly what shade you are purchasing.
ShadeCodeTone & SaturationDescription
Blush PinkAVery light tone, soft pastel, low saturationSoft pastel pink; lightest and most subtle shade.
Classic PinkAABalanced medium tone, moderate saturationClassic rosy pink; timeless and versatile.
Top Pink (AAA)AAAMedium tone, strong saturationRich, vibrant pink with excellent presence.
Intense Pink (AAA+)AAA+Medium–deep tone, very high saturationRare intense pink with strong depth and intensity.
Vivid Pink (AAA++)AAA++Deep tone, maximum saturationExtremely rare collector category.
Intense PeachB+Medium–deep tone, high saturationWarm, radiant peach-pink with vivid saturation.

Note: Vivid Pink (AAA++) is significantly rare and represents the top 0.1% of Morganite colors.

2. Clarity Grade Chart

Morganite belongs to the Type I clarity category, meaning it naturally forms very clean. We classify clarity by the visibility of natural inclusions.
Clarity GradeDescription
VVSEye-clean. Minute inclusions difficult to see under 10× magnification.
VSUsually eye-clean. Minor inclusions visible under 10× magnification.
SIEasily visible inclusions to the unaided eye; still jewelry-safe.

3. Natural Gemstones and Treatment Disclosure

All gemstones listed on HouseofMorganite.com are 100 percent natural, earth-mined Morganites.

Morganite generally undergoes standard, permanent enhancements such as:

  • Heat treatment – removes yellow or brown undertones and improves pink purity.
  • Irradiation – deepens pink tones in certain roughs.

These treatments are internationally accepted and do not affect durability. If any stone is untreated, it will be explicitly mentioned.

4. Calibrated Sizes, Multi-piece Requests and Carat Variance

We list one piece for each calibrated size on the website. If you require multiple stones of the same size (for earrings, halos, matching pairs), you must raise a query. Our team will hand-match stones for color, tone, and size.

Due to a 10 percent height variance, which is common in hand-cut natural gemstones, carat weight may vary even among stones with identical face-up dimensions.

5. Cut and Finishing Quality

Our gemstones undergo precise hand-cutting to maximize brilliance, symmetry, and sparkle.

Our finishing standards include:

  • Excellent facet polish.
  • Precision symmetry.
  • Even color distribution.
  • No shallow or overly deep cuts.
  • Perfect calibrated silhouettes.

6. Our Promise

Every Morganite listed on our website is natural, accurately graded, and finished to the highest standards.
